Board Certified in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery
A Texas native, Dr. Michael Goodwin was born in Dallas and calls DFW his
home. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery, Master of Science in Oral
Biology, and Certificate in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery from
Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Goodwin is a provider in treatment of periodontal disease, dental
implant surgery, periodontal plastic surgery, root coverage grafting, bone
and soft tissue augmentation, oral surgery, minimally invasive
surgery, and oral medicine . A firm believer that patients should feel
comfortable at all times, he has received extensive training in dental
anesthesiology (oral and intravenous techniques) and pain management. His
approach to periodontics and implants reflects his training at Baylor
College of Dentistry, considered a pioneer in the field of minimally
invasive surgery.

As a periodontist, Dr. Goodwin is an expert in recreating beautiful,

Dr. Goodwin is a D iplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is a
member of multiple professional organizations, including the American
Academy of Periodontology (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), the
Texas Dental Association (TDA), the Southwest Society of Periodontists
(SWSP), the North Texas Dental Society (NTDS), and the Denton County Dental
Society. When not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife,
Amatey, and their two dogs, Mac and Ava.
